Redefining Coastal Comfort,
Crafted for Connection.
This project reimagined a 428-square-foot third-floor bonus room into a bright, coastal-inspired retreat. Originally constrained by steep rooflines and narrow proportions, the space was transformed into one of the home’s most inviting areas through thoughtful design and craftsmanship.
A custom wet bar built into the dormer alcove anchors the room, featuring shiplap-wrapped cabinetry, a beadboard ceiling with faux beams, and pendant lighting that creates an intimate yet open feel. Shiplap walls, layered trim, and integrated baseboard heaters maintain clean lines and warmth, while a custom TV wall eliminates bulky furniture to maximize circulation and accessibility.
Natural light pours through new French doors leading to a waterfront deck with glass railings, seamlessly blending indoor comfort with outdoor living. Coastal-inspired furnishings and textures complete the look, making the space equally suited for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the surrounding views.
The result is a functional, timeless retreat that celebrates craftsmanship, balance, and the beauty of coastal living.
