Elevating Outdoor Living,
Creating Memorable Spaces.
When our client became wheelchair dependent, accessibility became the driving force behind this renovation. The goal was to integrate a three-stop residential elevator into a coastal modular home without compromising its charm or architectural integrity. Achieving this required innovation, structural precision, and a deep understanding of both design and engineering challenges.
Integrating a thirty-five-foot shaft within a gable roofline and dormered structure demanded creative problem-solving to meet coastal wind and framing requirements. Every detail was meticulously planned to blend the addition seamlessly with the existing architecture. Inside, the elevator cab became a design feature in itself—finished with custom driftwood wall paneling and coastal grey slate tile flooring that echoed the home’s seaside aesthetic. The result is a functional, visually cohesive elevator that enhances accessibility, safety, and independence while maintaining the warmth and character of the original home.
